Turkey Point Lighthouse can be reached via a gravel path or the Lighthouse Trail that runs along the water. (Make a loop of the two for variety!) There are plenty of places along the trail to stop and check out the amazing views. There's even a small beach! While Assateague Island is famous for its Chincoteague ponies, it's also a great place to see waterfowl. https://www.instagram.com/p/CfKfRPOr4Wz/ #PawPaw #hiking #trees #funfactsfriday Greenbury Point is owned by the Navy but open to the public when the firearms range is not in use. The 3.1-mile Greenbury Point trail offers a relaxing walk in nature and terrific views of the Severn River. Weverton Cliffs near Knoxville is a short (distance-wise) yet challenging hike from the parking lot. A series of switchbacks over 1.9 miles leads you up an elevation change of 567 feet to a view that is more than worth the effort.
