AMC Lumberville, Bull’s Island & Frenchtown Bike Ride

Join Appalachian Mountain Club leaders for a moderately-paced, approx. 22 mile loop ride on the Delaware Canal Towpath and D&R Rail Trail from the park office on Lodi Hill Rd. in Upper Black Eddy, PA to Bull’s Island and back. Bring your own bike (or borrow a loaner from us). Please call or e-mail to request a loaner bike.
We’ll bike south on the PA side to Lumberville, cross to NJ on the Roebling pedestrian bridge to Bull’s Island, then head north to Frenchtown (where we will stop for a lunch break) and cross back to PA to finish up. Level towpath terrain, slight downhill to begin and slight uphill on the way back.
Please bring water, a snack and lunch (option to buy; many good cafes in Frenchtown). Helmets are required, and narrow (street) tires are strongly discouraged, due to the rough nature of riding on the towpath. Program will be cancelled in the event of heavy downpours or thunderstorms.
