Raptors of Winter Hike

Join us for a scenic hike along the Nockamixon Cliffs section of the Delaware Canal towpath. Meet at the Fish and Boat parking lot just below Riegelsville at 10 am (entrance directly south of the Valero gas station & just north of the Rt. 212 intersection). Seven mile round trip hike along the towpath, past river valley homes & farms, the towering majesty of the Nockamixon Cliffs, and hopefully some birds of prey. On previous hikes, we have observed red-tailed hawks, vultures, bald eagles & more along this section of the towpath!
Bring water & a hearty snack to eat along the way. Dress for the cold in warm, non-cotton layers. Also, binoculars are very useful for getting a closer look at the birds we are likely to see; about 8 pairs of loaner binoculars will also be available.
