Evans-Mumbower Mill Open House & Trail Walk

Tours of Evans-Mumbower Mill are typically given from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month in the spring, summer and fall. Watch an introductory DVD program about the history of milling on the Wissahickon Creek; a costumed guide will take you for a fascinating tour to see the mill in operation.  After the tour you can browse in the museum and see artifacts from the Mill’s archaeological dig.

After touring the Mill, take a walk along the former millrace that fed the mill, to locate the remnants of the dam in the Upper Wissahickon. The walk will begin at 2:00 pm and last approximately an hour. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots!
